A new record!  A complete sell out in two and a half hours.  We knew it was going to be a busy day when the drive thru line was swamped 10 minutes BEFORE opening at 4:00pm and never let up.  Shortly after 4pm the inside dining room became standing room only with patrons sitting outside, on the doorsteps, in the grass and anywhere else they could find a place to sit.  By, 6pm, the cooks knew it was inevitable.  By 6:30pm…SOLD OUT!

Our Eastern Star chapter held the officers installation Saturday, March 28.  The installation was open to the public and was well attended by both families and members of surrounding OES Chapters.  A reception followed the event.

 Saturday, March 28 started early at 7:00am with a great country breakfast.  Following the early morning feast Long Creek raised four new Master Masons.

Long Creek recent hosted a very special initiation.  Vision Quest, a reenactment of the original initiation ritual from the early 1800’s, was performed here at our lodge.  The cast was composed of sisters and brothers from all over the state.  The lodge room at maximum capacity for the performance with additional chairs brought in from the dining room to accommodate the standing room only crowd.  Nearly 150 people attended the event.

Last Monday night Jan 26th, Brothers William Lanham and Benedict Pepitone from Long Creek and Brother Wesley Fox of Derita received their first degree.Click Here to View All the Photos from the degree.  

Peggy Gant and Jude Harding participated as models in the recent OES 21st district fashion show held at Mint Hill Lodge.  Peggy as the “Lady Pin Cushion” and Jude as the “Toast of the Town”.  Visit the lodge photo site for all the fun pictures.  Click Here to All The Photos 

Following a very successful year under the command of now Worshipful Brother Trent Hand, the torch was passed to Worshipful Brother Rodney Hinson.  Worshipful Brother Bob Braswell was the installing officer who impressively conducted the ceremony entirely from memory.
