For the second month in a row, team Long Creek 2020 takes the gold at the Buffalo Wild Wings Trivia Night. The prize this month is an Extra Large Wing Platter which we be ordering next month. Be sure you join us next time for wings, drinks and lots of fun.
A HUGE thanks for our next newest Entered Apprentices, Vince Condon, Gary Hawkes and Justin Richard. Even our newest candidate Noah Goode joined us and helped lead us to victory.
Also thanks to Scott Starnes, Jacob Bolick, Ron Cook and his girlfriend Tina, Mike and Jude Harding for coming out and supporting our community engagement efforts.
At last month’s supper, Kira Mulcahy, a representative from the American Red Cross came and spoke about the potential for a blood drive at the Long Creek Masonic Lodge.
Right now, we have April 9th (4pm – 830pm) on hold.
In order to ink that date into their calendar, we need to get at least 30 people to pledge to donate.
This meaning that given any unforeseen circumstances, you will be here on that date to donate blood.
We were able to round up about 10 people that night, but still need some additional support.
Spouses, children (16 y/o and older), neighbors, family members, etc are all invited to join, so if you think they might be willing, ask them and include their names as well!!
If you can donate, please e-mail us (info@longcreeklodge.com) and we will be in touch with you.
Hope that you were able to make the 4th of July parade in Uptown Charlotte yesterday. If not, here is a link from our friends at News 14 Charlotte that shows you what you missed.
We hope that everyone was able to attend the HELLO HUNTERSVILLE event last Saturday. What a great, family fun event. Our lodge was lucky enough to get a booth at this event. To see pictures from the event, click this link.
In 1859, Long Creek Masonic Lodge was given its charter. Last Saturday (July 24th), we celebrated it’s 150th anniversary with a cookout. Hamburgers, hotdogs and all the fixin’s were served to almost 100 people.A SPECIAL thank you goes out to Scott and Kenneth Starnes. Not only did they provide the hotdogs and hamburgers, they did all the cooking too.We would also like to thank the Long Creek Lodge’s Eastern Star. They provided wonderful desserts that were enjoyed by all.

From Charlie Sherer on behalf of the Blair Ferguson Memorial Golf Tournament Committee:
“From the bottom of our hearts we say thank you for all of your kindness in supporting this event. This past Saturday, August 23, 2008 over 250 men and women participated in a celebration of the life of our fellow friend Blair Ferguson. Through the generosity of many, we all helped raise $22,000 for a very well deserved cause. May God bless us all for our many efforts”
