It is with great sadness that I report the passing of brother Sammy Wilson.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon, September 24, at 1:00pm, at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, at 10500 Beatties Ford Road in Huntersville.
A Masonic graveside service has been requested, therefore we are requesting all brothers attend to assist in the Masonic rights.
Billy G. Burgess, 80, of Huntersville died June 14, 2014. He was born on July 13, 1933 in Haywood County to the late Floyd and Ethel Burgess. He served in the US Navy.
He retired from the City of Charlotte’s Utility Department as Supervisor of the Catawba River Pump Station. He was a member and past master of the Long Creek Masonic Lodge No. 205 and Friendship Lodge No. 700. Billy was a certified lecturer and a past DDGL of the 31st District of NC.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Bonnie Woods Burgess; sons, Chuck and wife Barbara of Huntersville, Mike and wife Betty of Kenansville and Tom and wife Pam of Concord; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Timi Burgess Moore Eaton.
Memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford, 600 College St. Oxford, NC 27565 or Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 10500 Beatties Ford Rd. Huntersville, NC 28078.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Monday, June 16, at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Alan Purtill officiating. Interment will follow at the Woods Family Cemetery, Ferguson, NC at 2:30pm.

Visitation will be held tomorrow, Monday June 16 from 5 to 7pm at James Funeral Home in Huntersville. James is located at 10520 Arahova Dr in Huntersville.
The funeral will be held Tuesday morning June 17 at 11am at Hopewell Presbyterian Church at 10500 Beaties Ford Road in Huntersville.
The graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday afternoon at the family cemetery on Elk Creek Darby Rd in Ferguson, NC in Wilkes county.

Please join us tomorrow evening, Monday Mar 10 at 6:30pm for dinner as eastern star chapter will be serving a delicious meal of pork chops, mac & cheese, baked apples with cinnamon sauce, rolls and desserts. Be sure to bring your family and friends to dinner.
We ask that all brothers arrive a little early to assist in getting the fish fry tickets ready for mailing.
Following dinner we ask that all brothers join us at 7:30pm for our monthly membership meeting. On the agenda this month is a review our upcoming fishfry, the Blood drive, the school of instruction, an invitation from Williams Lodge to participate in their upcoming ladies night event, and the official announcement of our new membership campaign.
Please join us tomorrow evening, Monday evening Feb 10 at 7:30pm for our stated meeting. We will be review our 2014 budget, upcoming fundraisers and many other important topics. Our eastern star chapter will be serving a delicious meal of ham biscuits, pintos, slaw and desserts at 6:30pm before the meeting. Be sure to bring your family and friends to dinner.
Troy Ross Price of Charlotte passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014. Ross was born on June 24, 1942 in Duffield, VA to the late Troy Radford Price and Tina Moore Price. He attended ETSU in Johnson City and Steed College in Kingsport, TN and received an Associate Degree from Greenville Technical College in Greenville, SC. Ross served in the United States Marine Corps for 4½years.
Ross loved his church, his family, baseball and football, the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. He was a member of Assurance UMC. Ross was also a member of Westgate Masonic Lodge #738 for many years serving as a coach, Master, Certified Lecturer and was a Past District Deputy Grand Lecturer. More recently, he was a member of Long Creek Masonic Lodge #205 where he also coached and served as a Certified Lecturer. Ross was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #343, having served as Worthy Patron and was a Past District Deputy Grand Patron.
In addition to his parents, Ross was predeceased by his sisters Estell Collins, Eula Atkins, Gladys Hurley, Greta Broome, and Margaret Horton and a brother Terry Price. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cherry Addison Price; his daughter, Tracy Price Bradey (Chris); his grandson, Patrick Anderson Bradey; two sisters, Lorene Minor of Schertz, TX and Reva Summers of Southern Pines, NC; two brothers, Lloyd Price and Dennis Price both of Kingsport, TN; a special brother-in-law, Wayne Broome of Kingsport, TN and many nieces and nephews.
Masonic services were be conducted by members of Long Creek and several other lodges.
Thomas “Tommy” Crowell Kiser, age 82 of the Oakdale Community passed away February 12, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville. Funeral services will be at 3:00PM Friday in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Reverends Billy Towery and Phil Turner officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00PM at the church. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.
He was a third degree Mason and a long- time member of the Long Creek Masonic Lodge. He was also a popular Shriner, a member of the Oasis Temple of Charlotte, where he was a member of the Royal Order of Jesters.
